Carla Bendixen

I began my art journey working with oil paints and paper mache.  Today I work primarily with acrylic paints, I also like to play around with clay sculpture, mosaics and felted wool sculptures.  

I studied Visual Communications at the Medicine Hat College from 2005 to 2007.  There I focused on the fine arts like drawing, painting, sculpture and photography.

I am intrigued with the natural world around us and mostly paint stuff inspired by nature like animals and landscapes.  I love to include an abundance of colour and patterns in my work. 

We live on a little hobby farm with 3 kids, a dog, chickens and goats and lots of garden space.  So I am surrounded by inspiration for my art.
