Kisa MacIsaac (she/her) is Red River Métis with family ties to manitow sâkahikan, the Métis community of Lac Ste. Anne, Alberta, Treaty 6. She also is part settler (Scottish, European), and calls Treaty 1 her home since moving to Winnipeg as a teenager. Kisa is a mother of three children, a visual artist, a workshop facilitator and arts educator, and is an ECE III, holding a BA Degree in Developmental Studies from the University of Winnipeg (2021). Kisa is passionate about land-based curriculum, and has been leading wellness through art workshops since 2015 - sharing how art brings stillness, peace and healing, connection to culture; a powerful way to be free, to feel in balance, to be wild and courageous: art is medicine.
